Living Light
Park
Living Light - Park is a lighting installation that uses energy from plants and microbes (MFCs) to transform an ordinary community park into an interactive lighting experience powered by nature. The project evolved from a concept to a final light installation located in Park van Morgen in Rotterdam in 2024.
During my employment with Nova Innova/Living Light, I worked as a Design Engineer in developing this product. My role involved developing the software for the lights to create an interactive experience as people walk through the park, bringing the prototype design to a ready-for-manufacturing state by optimizing part and assembly design, managing the successful production and assembly of the lights ready to be installed in the park, and monitoring/evaluating the operation of the lights post-installation.
