Overview
The Bugaboo Cloud is a breathing seat cover that synchronizes with the parent’s breathing via the seatbelt sensor band. The Cloud helps parents provide comfort to their young baby from the distance of their car seat at the front. Babies find the parent’s movement of their chest as they breath to be one of the most important sensation to help them calm down during stressful situations. The Cloud manages to provide this sensation at a distance with its force sensor on the sensor band that tracks the parent’s chest movement and the mini air pump that inflates the silicon air pockets inside the fabric of the breathing seat cover.
Conceptualization and Rapid Prototyping
Created concept prototypes in the form of user scenario sketches and lo-fi prototypes to present to potential users (parents) and improve the design based on their feedback.
